Increase Home Value By Adding An Outdoor Kitchen

Joseph Coupal - Wednesday, May 30, 2012

Whether you are looking for a way to increase the marketability of your home, or simply looking for a way to make your yard more enjoyable, adding an outdoor living area complete with an outdoor kitchen is the way to go.

If you're one of the many considering a home remodeling project, adding outdoor living space is a simple project that offers more than a 60% payback. Another nice thing about an outdoor kitchen is you can either go all out, or pick and choose a few small projects that can have big effects in upgrading your outdoor living space.

At its most minimal, an outdoor kitchen can consist of a grill, work surface, and dining area, but comfortable outdoor furniture and a fire pit can create an outdoor-living environment and expand your livable space.

Today, people are spending more money on their homes. They want to make investments in their homes that will increase the resale value later on when they can sell.

By updating your outdoor living space and adding an outdoor kitchen, you can make the great outdoors their summertime living room while increasing the attractiveness and value of your home in the process.

West Sport offers you the best grills for your outdoor kitchen. Contact us and see what your options are in built in grills, gas and charcoal combination grills, pellet grills or other outdoor kitchen amenities.

Best Grills for Every Lifestyle and Space

Joseph Coupal - Wednesday, May 16, 2012

In need of a new grill? Great, because we have all kind of styles and sizes. From ceramic charcoal grills to kettle grills, pellet grills and free standing gas grills to built in gas grills.

Many homeowners like the convenience of gas grills. Push a button and in just minutes you can be grilling breakfast, lunch or dinner. The ease and convenience of a new gas grill cannot be beat.

However, some homeowners who really like to cook love the flavor that charcoal grills provide, but don’t like the traditional charcoal grills that only last for a few years. Ceramic charcoal grills like the Kamado Joe and the Big Green Egg use hardwood charcoal and deliver a taste like no other. And if you are a cook, the versatility of these grills is unparalleled.

Just want a charcoal grill for sometimes, we have a kettle charcoal grill by Napoleon that is built for a long life but with a smaller price tag than the ceramic charcoal grills.

Pellet grills are gaining popularity now and will surely be the new rage in grilling. Pellet grills provide the flavor of grilling over hardwood, but offer you the convenience and ease of a gas grill. Again, just push a button and in minutes you will be grilling the most delicious meals.

Come in to West Sport and take a look, we will help you figure out what size, style and fuel source will work best for your lifestyle and your space. While you are here, enter our raffle for a brand new Patriots Team Grill, a $1700 beautiful gas grill.

A New Grill For National BBQ Month

Joseph Coupal - Thursday, May 10, 2012

Outdoor grilling is an American tradition and May is National BBQ month. Everyone’s summer memories involve grilling in the backyard.  According to a survey there are three top reasons why Americans love to grill, : affordability, convenience, and great family time.

You could go out to dinner and spend on one dinner what you would spend for two perfectly grilled steaks and grilled vegetables cooked on your gas grill with the great ambience of your backyard.

Who wants to be inside once the weather turns great outside? And, no one wants to cook inside while it is hot outside. With the right gas grill or charcoal grill, you can cook your entire meal outdoors and enjoy the season to the fullest.

Best of all, outdoor grilling is a fun and relaxing way to spend time with family and friends. Grilling is social, and the more fun the grill the more fun the event.

Father's Day is just around the corner. A new grill is the perfect gift to give to dad. When you give him a new grill, you give him a fun toy, family time, and an opportunity to experiment. Owning both a gas grill and a charcoal grill gives the opportunity to cook all kinds of different things.

Prepare turkeys and roasts on the charcoal grill, or use the gas grill for other things. Gas grilling is quick and easy, but for those who really want to become a backyard chef, a charcoal grill is the preference.

Whether your choice is burgers, shrimp, or vegetables; gas grill, charcoal grill or pellet grill, take advantage of May, and spend it outside grilling.

If you are looking for a new grill to replace the one you have or to add to your repertoire of grills, contact West Sport where we have great specials on grills all through May.

Joseph Coupal - Wednesday, May 02, 2012

Only great grills can make great grilled food; and the better the grill the better the food. No matter how you are celebrating Cinco de Mayo, make sure it is a fiesta. Pellet grills, ceramic charcoal grills, and higher-end gas grills not only change your backyard patio, they change the way you look at backyard grilling.

A great grill makes cooking an adventure. Smoke, bake, sear, slow cook, roast or rotisserie and make every meal a better tasting meal. There are so many people who love to grill, and we would bet that most of them have a great outdoor grill. Why? Easy to light, easy to regulate, hard to overcook food, and great grills have lots of amenities like side burners or rotisseries.

So, if you are celebrating Cinco de Mayo with friends or just your family, here is a delicious grilled Cinco de Mayo recipe that will turn your dinner into a fiesta.

Grilled Lobster Tails

  • 6 lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Cut lobster tails in half lengthwise, exposing flesh. Combine remaining ingredients in small mixing bowl. Brush mixture onto flesh side of lobster tails. Place lobster onto grill and cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on the size of the lobster tail. Make sure to turn once during cooking process. Remove from heat and serve.
